Donner Workshop: How to Create an Acid Electro Track with a Bass Synthesizer, Monophonic Synthesizer, and Drum Machine?

How can a simple musical idea be developed into a rich and powerful acid electro track? At the live workshop of "Modular Commune," young music creators Lin Feng and Gan Lai will present their original electronic works created specifically for this event. Using Donner's ESSENTIAL series synthesizers—the B1 Bass Synthesizer, L1 Monophonic Synthesizer, and D1 Drum Machine—they will demonstrate the creative process from capturing inspiration to full arrangement, share their logic behind sound design choices, and provide hands-on tips for synthesizer operation.

Time: November 16, 19:00 - 19:25
Location: Lecture Area, Second Floor, Gearing Space A19, 798/751 Art Zone, Beijing

ESSENTIAL L1 Monophonic Synthesizer + KB32M MIDI Keyboard

Ulf Kaiser from Germany's Synthesizer Magazine commented: "The Donner ESSENTIAL L1 is an intelligent and sonically outstanding monophonic synthesizer, lightweight and compact. However, this compact design does not compromise its analog sound engine and operational interface. The device is equipped with multiple sliders, knobs, and switches, offering comprehensive control capabilities. It supports MIDI, USB, and CV control, and features a built-in arpeggiator and step sequencer. The Snap2Connect magnetic keyboard connection system is also an innovative design. Overall, it offers excellent value for money."

Donner's full series of MIDI controllers will come bundled with three professional audio DAW software packages from Germany's Steinberg—CUBASE LE, CUBASIS LE, and WAVELAB Cast—as well as 120 free lessons from New Zealand's music tutorial software, Melodics.
